Steven Haynes

Managing director

Shelley Colthurst, web designer and coach creating aligned websites and business systems for soul-led entrepreneurs.

Steven Haynes is a Nyamal community member with recognised cultural authority, living and working in the Pilbara region as a linguist, custodian, and machine operator.

Steven brings more than thirty years of experience in the mining and civil sectors. He has worked extensively in mining industry and various operator roles and is qualified to operate a wide range of heavy machinery, including front end loaders, bobcats, wheelie dozers, graders, skid steers, dump trucks, water carts, and tipper trucks.

Steven has worked with major organisations across the Pilbara, including Ngarda Civil at Nelson Point in Port Hedland, Fortescue Metals Group at Christmas Creek, the Shire of Roebourne, BHP, and Pilgangoora.

As Managing Director, Steven is committed to mentoring and supporting Indigenous operators through skills development, hard work, and respect for country.

Gary Ramirez

General Manager

Gary Ramirez has been in the industry for over 13 years, with an extensive range of experience.

As a proud Ngarluma man with strong ties to the Pilbara region, Gary understands the local culture.

Due to his friendly nature, he has the ability
to work with both indigenous and non-indigenous people alike. 

His desire is to help others succeed through training and sustainable employment.

Gary is dedicated, reliable and hardworking, with Qualifications and Certificates ranging from forklift, heavy machinery operation, and mobile plant operation, to OH&S & senior first aid.

Rohan Bansal

Business Development Manager

Rohan Bansal is the Business Development Manager at Mijimiji Contracting, driving business development and client relationships across the civil and mining sectors.

He works closely with clients and partners to identify opportunities, manage communications, and support long-term growth.

With over 10 years of professional experience in project controls, risk and project management, process and business improvement, Rohan has a strong focus on supporting Indigenous businesses. He spent over five years with Rio Tinto Iron Ore Operations in the Pilbara, contributing to large-scale mining projects and improvement initiatives, and previously worked with Pindan Constructions in the civil construction sector.

Rohan holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Oil & Gas Engineering from The University of Western Australia (UWA) and aligns client needs with Mijimiji Contracting’s capabilities to build long-term partnerships.
